Doug Wasser, President, El
Centro , CA
BIO:
I just got into off-roading 8 years ago
and have been completely consumed by it ever since. I started
on a YZ 250 then road a 400 EX quad for a year or so and then
bought my first four stroke. A YZ 400 F. I still have everything
but the YZ 250 and love riding them whenever I get the chance.
In 2006 I bought my first pre-runner truck. A fully caged 1991
Ford Ranger. My wife and I recently moved
to El
Centro and can't wait until the weather
cools enough to start going out to the dez again. I have been
a self employed business owner in the construction industry
since 2000. I am looking forward to the 2009 DRIVE season and
can't wait to give 110 percent to Southern
California racing and off-roading.
Experience:
In 2005 I saw my first four wheel off-road race in Plaster
City and was hooked before the first car went by. I haven't
missed a race since and have been a volunteer for about the
last 2 years. Some of the positions I have volunteered for
are pit crew, pre-running and chase drive for Perrault Motorsports.
I have also volunteered for course marking, course official,
technical inspection and course recon.

BIO:
Born & raised in the Imperial Valley and pretty darn happy
with how I turned out. Desert living is in my blood as they
say “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Started my
motorcycle riding career at 14 years old and I’ve been hooked
ever since. First bike was a Suzuki 90 and now I ride a CRF
250X. Volunteered with BushEaters M/C Club back in the day
when Enduro events were held in the Superstition OHV area.
My brother Gary competed in the Enduro events and eventually
so did I as did my younger brother Craig. And back then the
desert was wide open from Yuha Basin to the Badlands and beyond.
So, naturally the next curve in my off road adventures rolled
into trucks & Baja bugs which have evolved into faster
more fluid machines. Now in present day the off road Mecca
we know & love is shrinking. We all need to be proactive
not reactive and the Drive Off-Road Racing organization encompasses
that philosophy.

Presently employed
with Time Warner Media in Ad Sales; actually 10 ½ years in
