Sponsors - Please take precaution when you are approached by anyone seeking sponsorship monies.

At a minimum take the following steps:

For phone calls -
1. Ask to return the phone call and only call phone numbers listed on the official company website.

2. Send a confirmation e-mail immediately after the call to company e-mail addresses only.

3. Ask questions and be alert.

For e-mails -
1. Do not respond to non-company e-mails.

2. If you receive an e-mail from a private party forward it to a official company e-mail listed on the official company website and wait for response.

Face-to-Face -
1. Ask for business cards & proper ID

2. Go to the official company website and verify ID

3. Call numbers listed on official company website to verify ID

4. Follow up with an e-mail to e-mail addresses listed on official company website only.

As a company you should take any steps you feel necessary to protect yourself from fraud. If someone approaching you for sponsorship money or trades isn't willing to go the extra mile to prove whom they are they are not the real deal and they should be reported.
